Blood Typing & Agglutination • Testing blood type is simply a test to see the presence or absence of specific antigens. • Antibodies for a specific antigen are added to a drop of blood. The RBC in the drop reacts to the antibodies ONLY if the antigen is present (-) Negative = No Agglutination Does NOT contain antigen (+) Positive = Agglutination Does contain antigen
