  2. Background • Prototype of ANDREW created in 1998 to supplement on-site Statistical research • With time, evolved into independent research tool with certain limitations. • New system under development to address the limitations and to provide greatly improved and new features

  3. Basic Layout • Fully automated system • Serve registered subscribers round the clock • A research proposal is required for subscription • No limit on data requests submission but results returned to a specific registered email address

  4. Basic Features • Multilayered authentication procedures to ward off unauthorized access • Web level validation of a data request for its suitability to ANDREW • Prevention & Handling of Disclosure Violations

  5. Advanced Features • Robust disclosure limitation checks • Cumulative data retrieval and confidentiality • Multi-language support • Language free GUI data access

  6. Summary • Continuous software engineering process geared towards regular induction of improvements and enhancements to the system as dictated by the feedback from the user community and by the internal system performance analysis.
