OBJECTIVES • Provision of useful data coming from most of the Jerico partners • Compliant with SeaDataNet and MyOcean standards and requirement • + 3 TOPs (Targeted Operation Phase) • Multi parameters maps on monthly basis • Data & demonstrative products from fishing vessel probes • Collocated data from buoys and ferryboxes PARIS – Maison de la recherche - 24 & 25 May 2011

  3. SCHEDULING • SA time scale of 2 years for data access, starting month 20 up to month 43 (from 1st of January 2013 to end of December 2014) • SA time scale of 1 year for TOPs, starting month 34 up to month 43 (from 1st of January 2014 to end of December 2014) PARIS – Maison de la recherche - 24 & 25 May 2011

  4. MODALITY OF ACCESS • Open to all European users via the portal • Data discovery, data downloads + display • Right of access needed, same as SDN • Registration / identification • Acknowledgement on right of access, use of data, publications through a MOU • + commitment on dissemination of results through the portal for TOP users PARIS – Maison de la recherche - 24 & 25 May 2011

JERICO Data ManagementPlanning • Month 8 : Data Management guidelines provided to data providers • for real-time and delayed mode • Procedures, formats, … • Available tools and operation manuals • Month 8 – Month 18 : Installation phase • Installation of data management tools by data providers • Preliminary tests with Jerico data • Support and training if necessary (by SeadataNet2 & MyOcean) • Month 20  : Data management phase • Data archiving and distribution in real-time and delayed mode • TOP data sets : inter comparison between several observing systemse.g. Buoys + Ferry Box at buoys location and same timeMonth 30 – Month 32 : preparation of TOP datasets PARIS – Maison de la recherche - 24 & 25 May 2011

TOP ACTIVITIES • TOP 1: One year of multi parameters maps on the European seas, using EMECO tools. • TOP 2: Data and demonstrative products on a monthly basis, collected from sensors on board fishing vessels. • TOP 3: Data from buoys and collocated Ferry Box line, respectively in the south Aegean Sea and in the Kattegat. REQUIREMENTS • One contact name and email per partner • Commitment to make data freely available to the consortium during the SA period • Information on data: (questionnaire) • Type of data (T°, S, …) and Metadata • Delay of availability • Acquisition parameters • Advance for WP7 will be delivered when the questionnaire will be completed.   11. What to be done by data providers? • Describe observing system, observatories and, optionally, sensors (metadata) • Type/generate metadata information to describe Jerico observing system • Put the harmonized data files on an ftp server using the define structure • Check data quality • Real-time : • Harmonize format using provided tools (file format converter, if necessary) • Put harmonized data files on an ftp server using the define directory structure • Delayed mode : • Send data to your National Oceanographic Data Centre (NODC)which is able to perform long term preservation and distributionor • Install data access management tool (if not already done)and connect it to your own data management system • Generate data set description • Precise guidelines and manuals will be made available in Month PARIS – Maison de la recherche - 24 & 25 May 2011
