Existing Graphics The background of the magazine has obviously been “photshopped”, and has been blended extremely well into the overall picture giving it a pleasant authentic look. The title of the magazine is a nice large font, which easily draws the attention of the reader. I like the fact that the font is white as it is automatically distinguishable from the rest of the canvas. The image of the train has been blurred slightly, as though the train is in motion whilst on the canvas. This is a nice effect as it distorts the look of the original image giving a new fresher feel. The image of the pay-phone and Santa Claus have been “photopped” and positioned on the right hand side of the canvas which gives it a more realistic feel.
Existing Graphics The title of the magazine is black and bold. Part of the title is covered by the main image, this may insinuate that the magazine is so well known that even if a few of the letters were hidden, it would still be recognizable. The magazine has a neutral feel where the main colours of the magazine consist of white/cream/black/golden yellow, this gives a calming impression enticing the audience. The world “style now” is written in black completely contrasting its white background. This is the last thing the reader should see, and the contrast of the colours helps to fixate this message in the reader’s mind.
Magazine Specification • My graphic is mainly focusing on the city of London. It will give an insight to many of its famous landmarks and traditions. However, what I ultimately want is for the reader to feel automatically connected to London, in ways that have never thought possible from one magazine. • The user can expect to see: -Iconic landmarks -Famous events -Annual occurrences.
