Graphs • 3 major graphs: • Line graph • Bar graph • Pie graph
Line Graphs • Used best for displaying data that change over a range • Usually has 2 variables: • Independent: choose the intervals and usually made with the x-axis • Dependent: depends on what happens in the experiment and usually made with the y-axis
Bar Graphs • Useful when you want to compare data for several different individual items or events • Makes it clearer how large or small the difference in individual values are
Pie Charts/Graphs • Useful for displaying data that are parts of a whole • Represented by percents
