PAMAP Progress • Agency meetings held with DCED, DEP • PENNDOT meeting scheduled and postponed twice • Follow up meeting at DCED scheduled and postponed twice • Initial letters to 9 primary agencies for funding • Additional letters going out to 19 secondary agencies for funding now • PAMAP Informational letter to go out to all other agencies, boards and commissions • PEMA indicated no funding available

PAMAP Funding Status • 2004 Goal: $5.5M • DCNR - $1.5M • Health - $300K • DEP - $100K • BGT - $100K • TOTAL: $2M
GDT Enterprise Agreement • Needed short term for address geocoding and routing until PENNDOT completes statewide road network in 2007 • Close to procurement – T’s and C’s need minor adjustments • $580K/year + ASAP markup = $592K/year • Available to all agencies, local governments, COGs, first responders • Goal of 10/1 – might make it?
Enterprise GIS Architecture • Set up complete • Loading PaMap imagery • Projection • Systematic conversion of locations on the Earth’s surface from sperical to planar • Some preserve shape; others preserve accuracy of area, distance, or direction • Datum • Set of parameters and control points used to accurately define the 3-D shape of the Earth • Basis for a planar coordinate system • NAD83 – datum within U.S. and North America • ITB process to define projection/datum for data sharing
Enterprise GIS Architecture • Citrix • Used to deploy software, systems, applications to multiple locations • Maintainable from one location – easier to support, maintain, and upgrade • Licensing Manager • Currently 13 licenses • 30 day expiration • Need 13 agency volunteers to test from Hbg and regional locations • $800K thru DHS ITEP grant • Build out architecture faster • September 30
Committee/Workgroup Meetings • GTAC – Sept 8 • GTSC – Sept 17 @ 1:30PM • HS GIS Task Force – Sept 21 @ 1:00PM • Weather – Sept 22 @ 9:00AM • Address – Sept 22 @ 1:30PM • HS Sub-Cabinet – late Sept/early Oct
Weather Project • Currently installing at PEMA • 2 vendors: • Meteorlogix: GIS, alerting, forecasting • AWS Weatherbug: alerting, local sensors, next generation weather, GIS • Real-Time Weather information, tie into 800 MHz radios and facility locations for alerting, capture historical information
Weather Project • Weather workgroup gathering agency business requirements • Sept 22 workgroup meeting to review requirements • $1.5M SHSGP funding available to entire project • Make available to all agencies that need it as well as county/UASI EMAs, RCTTF
GIS Day • Need to form committee • No GIS expertise needed • Organizational and coordination • Opportunity for those new to GIS to participate • Need committed personnel to help set up and tear down • Extend invite to CCAP and HopeWorks
