Issued by President of Republic of Korea 1 wants to evaluate the success and failure of national policies based on objective figures and statistics 2 National infrastructure is required which will provide an objective direction that our nation should go toward. 3 open a way for people to have access to the information and participate in the policy making process 1

Blue House KNSO Makes each ministry move Plays a role as a project leader - stress the importance of this project - design/ construct the system - operate the system 41 Government Agencies create indicators related to their policies Manage the policy indicators - update/delete, etc 2

  7. How do we overcome difficulties? Draw cooperation from other government agencies Present and popularize among the people Create an understanding among heads of organizations and stress the importance of the project Draw attention through several workshops 6

  8. Now and Afterwards… Began service on September 1st , 2006 Are trying to make it known to people - through press briefings - 50,000 pamphlets have been given out - using the PCRM service Will improve the system and create new indicators required for understanding the current situation 7
