Think-Write-Share • Think about what your life would be like in a country where you could not speak the language. • Write some notes about the issues that would concern you the most. • Share your notes with a partner. • Based on what your partner has told you, select a goal for him or her. • Look in the Competence section of the Content standards document. Why is Needs Assessment Important? • Can be used to place learners in classes and programs • Provides for responsively designed curriculum • Provides important background information about the learner’s educational experience, life experience, and learning preferences Training Guide Session II
