This research project aims to understand the perception of freshmen students regarding the opening seminar and make content corrections based on data. The study analyzed various variables of interest and assessed the workshop's time, presenters' attitude, infrastructure, workshop content, and other aspects. Recommendations include improving punctuality, involving student governing bodies, and addressing concerns about changing rooms.

Introduction CETYS knows the impact it has as a university, and as such is interested in reviewing one of the first programs the student comes in contact with. Hence it took upon itself to carry out the present research project.
Objective Get to know the perception of freshmen students regarding the opening seminar, and to establish a content correction based on data.
Methodology • Universe of 271 students. • 134 selected. • The use of color coded teams was the basis of selection. Variables of interest: • SEX • AGE • MAJOR • TEAM COLOR • HIGH SCHOOL • CITY
The research topics were 10 elements that are part of the seminar: • WELCOME TO THE SEMINAR • WELCOME BY THE COLLEGE • WELCOME BY SPORTS AND CULTURE • ENGLISH DEPARTMENT • ENTREPRENUER PROGRAM • EXCHANGE PROGRAMS • STUDENT ADVICE PROGRAM • LIBRARY PROGRAM • STUDENT AFFAIRS • BLACKBOARD PROGRAM • ORGANIZING COMMITTE
For each one, we analyzed: • Time allotted • Attitude of presenters • Infrastructure • Attractiveness of workshop ( subjective ) • Content ( information ) • Importance • Usefulness • Clarity • Organization • Logistics • Punctuality • General grading
Other aspects: • English • The English department requested we add: • Instructions on the exam • Service during the interview • Evaluation of English department personnel • Satisfaction with results • Organizing committee • 8 central aspects, organization, punctuality, respect, friendliness, logistics, help on clarifying questions, willingness to help, involvement on activities.

RECOMENDATIONS The general perception was “good”. Men graded higher than women. Business major graded higher than engineering majors. The yellow team graded lower, while the red team graded higher.
Sorts and culture department have the highest improvement opportunity (Their grade was 8.08, while the highest grade was 9.17) • 81.34% wrote an open comment: • Their consider that the time spent was too long • Most thanked the organizing committee for the activity, and the time the spent answering their questions
Some wished that the activity would have been carried out side of campus. • They requested if students from CETYS high school could skip the workshop • They would like to have a speaker. • The biggest are of opportunity is: • Blackboard workshop, they were not able to login
Some questions lingered with the exchange program workshop • They don’t perceivee the institution as an international one • Sports and culture department seem unprepared. • Punctuality as a general opportunity on each workshop. • CETYS High school graduates knew most of the information • Student Governing Bodies were absent
They wish to learn other languages • Sophomore students should participate more • There is a general discontent with the constant changing of rooms were the activities take place – during the summer.
