  3. Non-Cancelled Appointments • May deny access to others in need of care • Decreases appointment availability • Wastes time and money

  4. Our Statistics Appointments wasted for Primary Care Services (07–14 Sept 04, 5 working days): • Oceana BHC: 188 wasted appointments for FPC/MSC* • Dam Neck BMC: 22 wasted appointments for MSC *Family Practice Clinic/Military Sick Call

  5. The Cost No-show appointment slots cost our Command $65.00 per visit therefore, BHC Oceana no-shows, from 07-14 Sept ‘04 (5 working days), cost us $12,220 Managed Care, NMCP, Aug ‘04

  6. Our Policy According to the Patient Bill of Rights & Responsibilities, patients are responsible for keeping scheduled appointments NMCP Inst 6000.6D

  7. Appointment Cancellation If your appointment was scheduled through the clinic, then call that clinic directly All other appointments are cancelled by calling 1-866-645-4354 (MIL-HLTH)

  8. The Bottom Line Cancelled appointments are filled by other patients Cancel, as soon as possible when unable to keep your appointment Please, don’t be a NO-SHOW… Cancel, Reschedule or SHOW
