  3. When they celebrate • They exchange presents on Christmas Eve. • December 6th is St. Nicholas’ Day. • Der Nikolaus brings small gifts to children. • He puts them in their shoes! “That’s weird!” said Archie. • Krampus is a big horned monster who punishes bad children.

  4. Advent calendars • They have advent calendars like us but… • They have boxes or bags with presents in • Advent Kranz - a ring of fir branches that has 4 candles on • They light one for every advent week
