  2. Love The Lord • Deut 6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

  3. Heart Soul Strength • Heart • emotions, will, and intellect • Soul • vitality, appetite, desire, lust, and life itself • Strength • vehemently, speedily, diligently

  4. Love The Lord • Deut 6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart (emotions, will, and intellect) and with all your soul (vitality, appetite, desire, lust, and life itself) and with all your strength (vehemently, speedily, diligently).

  5. How? • 1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love

It Starts With God • Ephesians 3:16-19 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

  8. Be Overwhelmed By The Love Of Christ • Reflect often on the Cross • Remember Him in His death at least weekly • Visualize the agony of separation from His Father • Try to imagine the suffering He endured • Know it was all • because He loves • you

  9. Abide In His Love • John 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. • Can be translated “remain” • Also translated as “reside” Take up Residence • Make your home there

  10. John 15 • I am the true vine • Abide in me, and I in you • Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit • Apart from me you can do nothing • If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love

  11. Revelation 3:20 • Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
