  1. Events leading to the Day of Qiyaamat By: Nasira Mohamedali

  2. Why I Chose This Topic I wanted to learn more about the day of Qiyammat. Pondering over the Quran has made me aware of the purpose of life on this earth for the hereafter.

  3. Ayats • The following are the Ayats from where I got my information: • Sura 36: 51,52,53 • Sura 77: 8,9,10 • Sura 99: 1,2,3

  4. Sura Yasin (36:51) 51. “And the Trumpet shall be blown, then behold, from their graves they shall hasten on to their Lord.”

  5. Points By the command of Allah, the dust and the rotten bones will have life again and come out from their graves They will have life again and will be quickened by a single Blast, in the same manner that all of them died with a single Blast

53. “There would be naught but a single Blast, when they shall all brought before Us.”

52. “They shall say: ‘Oh! woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping-place? This is what the Beneficent (Allah) promised; and the apostles told the truth.”

  8. Surah Zilzal (99:1) (1) إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا when the Earth shall quake with a mighty quaking,

And the Earth shall cast forth her burdens,

  10. Points The purpose of using this is to signify men will be thrown out from their graves by the quake of the Resurrection, like that which is found in Sura Inshiqaq, No. 84, verse 4 which says: And casts forth what is within it and becomes empty.

And casts forth what is within it and becomes empty,

  12. Points • the Earth will suddenly cast forth what it has within its soil, of dead bodies, who will then have a re-birth for the eternal life.

And man shall say (distressed) : what has befallen her?

  14. Points That day everyone, observing that supreme world-shaking Event, will become completely terrified. On the Day of Judgment, the earth will manifest all good and evil deeds that were carried out on it.

  15. Surah Mursalat (77:8) (8) فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ “Then when the stars are extinguished;”

And when the heaven is cleft asunder;”

And when the mountains are carried away;”

  18. Points The Holy Qur'an states it is understood that, at last, this physical world will end with some series of extremely horrible events, and its regularity will be terribly destroyed. Then the spiritual world will be substituted by a new order.

  19. Points This very earth, on which we live and do our actions, is one of the greatest witnesses to Man's deeds on that day. There will be only one way open to them which is the path of Faith, good action, repentance of sins, and self-improvement.

  20. Things I Learnt • Being regardful to the Day of Judgment • controlling one's desires and lusts • Being firmly rooted in knowledge and remembering That Day, say: • “There is no doubt; for surely Allah never fails (His) promise." Therefore, they, thereby, avoid of low desires, sensuality, and excessive sentiments, which cause one to do wrong, and thus they can understand the Divine verses as they really are.

  21. My comments: • Nasira, you have amazed me. Despite the time constraint you were able to put this research together, great work ! • I loved the way you interpret that on that day the physical world will end and the spiritual world be infused with a new order, that statement has deep implications. In slide number 19 when you mention faith and good action, do you mean on that day or during this world? • Your research needs to be enriched with a hadith or two from the Ahlul bayt regarding this topic. Can you incorporate this into your presentation? That would really strengthen your discussion. • Is it possible to include a slide on references where you got your ayats and its translations from? • An awesome effort Nasira! I am impressed at your work! 
