No business could survive just selling cookies. Humble beginnings launched Mrs. Fields into a worldwide celebrity and made her company the premier chain of cookie and baked goods stores.
The Women Behind The Cookies • Debbi Fields opened her first Mrs. Fields cookie store at the age of twenty and saw her enterprise grow into a company of 700 domestic and international stores. She has written four books, including One Smart Cookie, Mrs. Fields' Cookie Book — the first ever cookbook to make the New York Times bestseller list — and Mrs. Fields' I Love Chocolate Cookbook. Debbi is a motivational speaker and mother of five daughters and resides in Memphis, Tennessee, with her husband and family.
The First Mrs. Fields store, in Palo Alto California, opened in August of 1977. Before Now Today Mrs. Fields has over 650 domestic locations, and over 65 international locations in 11 different countries.
Now-a-days She is 43 years old Married to Michael Rose, retired chairman of Memphis-based Promus Hotel Corporation and Harrah’s Entertainment She has her own five daughters from an earlier marriage, and the five children of her husband now.
Other Accomplishments • She also has her own syndicated baking show on television and has been named dropped on 'News Radio.'
Cookie Recipe!! • Cream Together: 2 Cups Butter 2 Cups Sugar 2 Cups Brown Sugar • Add: 4 Eggs 2 Teaspoons Vanilla • In Separate Bowl: 4 Cups Flour 5 Cups Oatmeal (put small amounts in blender after measuring until it turns to powder) 1 Teaspoon Salt 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder (a pinch more to make softer) 2 Teaspoons Baking Soda • Mix All Ingredients Together and add: 24 Oz. Bag of Chocolate Chips 1-8 Oz. Plain Hershey Bar, Grated 3 Cups Chopped Nuts (any kind) • Place Golf Ball Sized Cookies 2" Apart on Ungreased Cookie Sheet. Bake at 350°F. for 6 Minutes.
