  2. Main Story. • Page 43; “Mrs. Chen lifted her heavy head. The door opened and her factory supervisor stepped out of the elevator…”etc. • Mrs. Chen was riding home on the NY subway. She doesn’t speak much English, and when the conductor announces a change in stops, she couldn’t understand. She had fallen asleep and is now lost. • In the story, it is revealed that Mrs. Chen is a very shy woman.   3. Flashback • Page 47; “He pulled a long knife out and held it in front of his body… Without a word, he gestured with his knife. She gave him her purse, and he took it and ran.” • Mrs. Chen was the last to get off the subway. There was a teenage boy with demon eyes blocking her way. He said nothing, but gestured to her purse.
