Confidential Program Open Items UNDoT 38.3 Expenditures • TWS needs to obtain UNDoT certification from Guangzhou Test Lab as MPTS certification is not accepted by the airport authority. • UNDoT certification needs to be renewed yearly & the aforementioned program will have to be recertified (~$121 per program). Confidential TWS Cost Reduction Initiatives • In late 2012 and early 2013, there have been significant increases in cost from: • Price up for labor rate, IC’s, mosfet, and mechanical components. • New Regulatory requirement such as IATA ICAO Transportation rule changes. • Even with the cost challenge, TWS has continued to work with MSI CM team and initiated price reduction across key MSI products.
