  3. Who do we interact with? • IMDS Steering Committee • Via liaison James Lundstrom • Directly at Steering Committee Meetings – twice per year • GADSL Americas Technical Team • USCAR Substances of Concern Committee • OEMs, Tier 1s, Tier 2s • In meetings and networking

  4. Role of the Workgroup • Work with the IMDS steering committee, USCAR and GADSL to: • Commonize OEM requirements where needed and possible. • Make improvements • Get clarification and reduce confusion • Solve problems

  5. Goals for 2009 • Foster cost effective, efficient and well communicated policies and processes for IMDS and GADSL through: • Proactive approach • Better / Closer Relationship with the IMDS Steering Committee. • Improved Relationship with CLEPA

  6. Accomplishments • Significant AIAG influence and intervention on: • Use Conditions • Recommendation 001 • Version 7.0 Enhancements and Implementation • Process Chemical Verification Flag • Materials & Substance Warnings (SC90) • Enhancements for next version • AIAG attended the Steering Committee meetings several times this year and the SC has expressed appreciation for AIAG support.
