Highlights from 2012-2013 • Eco News in the Community Newsletter for the Spruce Creek Fly In • Teaching elementary schools an Environmental lesson • Greening a family business • Creating enviro-friendly cosmetics • Getting active with a national organization • Community Garden • Letters / Petitions to state govt • Recycling at the gym

  5. Required Components • Plan & group by 9/12 • Implementation updates with evidence second to last Thursday of each quarter 1-3 • Fourth Quarter final presentation – one week following the AP / IB exam • Your idea must be beyond you and your house – think Broader change

  6. Proposal Format • Word Document – 1 page 1.5 spacing 12 point font – use Headings below in bold • Title • Goal(s) • Process Rough steps or procedure you will take • Reach Who will be effected • Resources needed money, supplies, etc • Hurdles Think ahead of time about challenges you will need to overcome • Expected outcomes what do you think will happen

  7. Quarterly updates (Q1-3) • 2 -3 min presentation to the class • 1-3 powerpoint slides with evidence of what is happening • Grading – 25 points • Delivery = 5 • Presentation quality = 5 • Progress made = 10 • Intangibles = 5
