Technology in DPS DPS Board of Education Technology Policies • The proper use of technology systems is governed by Board of Education policies. • The district is subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) which mandates how personally identifiable student records are to be handled. • Board policies prohibit the sharing of passwords with anyone: colleagues, students.

Your First Days With Technology Day 1 • Take student attendance in IC (Infinite Campus) • Access your DPS Outlook e-mail account • Set up your telephone voice mail • Access the Teacher Portal Days To Come • Check your employee information (including your pay stub) on Employee Self Service • Ask for your guest teacher from SmartFind Express (substitute system)

Your First Days With Technology Standard-Based Progress Report • Used by all elementary and most middle schools (not high schools) • Trimester schedules • Enter progress marks and comments in IC IC Parent Portal and Messenger • Parent Portal available to all schools • Automated messages to parents for attendance, announcements, etc.
