OCTOBER 2013 DIMENSION OF EXTRAORDINARY PRAISE Pastor Ambrose Nyangao
Paul and Silas in their ministry encountered a young lady who had a spirit of divination. This girl kept confronting them as they went along their mission. One day Paul stood up to her and cast out the spirit with a word. The girl was delivered and she was no longer useful to her masters. They were so angry that they called the authorities who threw Paul and Silas into the prison cells where they were flogged severely and placed into stocks.
This would have been very disturbing to the two missionaries, but they had a secret weapon. They began to praise and sing into the cells with a loud voice. At midnight, the heavens opened and there was a great earthquake in the prison area. I believe those were angels responding to the extraordinary praise that had reached heaven from the two men of God. The chains fell off and the prison doors were broken. All the prisoners including Paul and Silas were free. The prison guard was about to commit suicide because he thought all the prisoner had escaped, but Paul in a loud voice assured him that no one had come out.
The prison guard was so overwhelmed at the power of God that he asked, “What must I do to be saved?” Paul was able to give him the answer and the prison guard with his entire family, were saved and were baptized. This in brief is what the power of extraordinary praise can do. This is the month of extraordinary praise! Put this in gear and you will be amazed at what the power of God can do. You can read this story in Acts 16:16-34. Read it often it will inspire you.
