  2. The Story

  3. The story of the disciples and their inability to catch fish in Lk 5:1-11 is an interesting one. The Lord Jesus entered into this situation and through His command the disciples caught so much fish until their boats were sinking. As a result they had to call for help. They were so astonished about the catch. Jesus then spoke and made sure that they understood this miracle and its purpose. It was not all about catching fish and starting a fishing industry and a prosperous business for Peter and his friends, there was more. The Lord articulated the EXTRAORDINARY PURPOSE. He said, “Don’t be afraid; from now on YOU WILL CATCH MEN.” Lk 5:10

  4. Purpose is the key to what we do. Many are involved in so many things and they have no purpose or they do not know what God’s purpose is all about. It is vital to know the purpose of God and especially His extraordinary purpose. Many are focused on being religious instead of becoming Kingdom-minded. Many are seeking to gain the whole world and are losing their souls [which are eternal and precious].

  5. Many are building empires that have foundations built on sand rather than on the ROCK that is Jesus Christ. You must live according to divine purpose. Indeed God’s people perish for lack of knowledge. Before you is the WORD OF GOD. Align yourself to God’s extraordinary purpose.

Job 36:5—God is mighty, but does not despise men; He is mighty, and firm in His purpose • Psa 33:11—But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations • Psa 138:8—The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me • Prov 19:21—Many are the plans of a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’S purpose that prevails • Mat 6:33—But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you

John 3:16—For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in His should not perish but have eternal life • Acts 13:36—For when David has served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep • Rom 8:28—And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose • Eph 1:11—In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will • II Tim 1:9—who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace

  10. We decree and declare that the extraordinary purposes of God are keys to our success and prosperity. We shall walk in those purpose in the name of Jesus Christ • We decree and declare that the LORD knows the plans that He has for us. They are plans for welfare and not for evil to give us a future and a hope. • We decree and IDENTIFIED with divinity. We are sons and daughters of the Living God declare that we are created in the image of God and His likeness. We are and so must walk in His ways and reflect His purpose • We decree and declare that we are ONE with the Almighty. If anyone is in Christ, he/she is a NEW CREATION. The old has passed away, behold the new has come. We have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus • We decree and declare that we are blessed to be fruitful and to multiply. PROSPERITY in God is part of our DNA. The Lord came that we may have life and have it in abundance. It is God’s purpose that we bear much fruit and fruit that lasts

  11. We decree and declare that we were commissioned to have DOMINION on earth. We are a chosen people, a ROYAL priesthood, and holy nation and a people belonging to God. We are reigning in Christ. We are more than conquerors. We subdue and rule on earth. We call forth the Kingdom of God to come on earth and for His will to be done on earth as it is being done in heaven • We decree and declare that we walk according to KINGDOM AGENDA. We are seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. All these other things that people seek after become ours as heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ Jesus • We decree and declare that we are not ashamed of the gospel. We proclaim it to all that we may believe in the King and become Kingdom citizens • We decree and declare that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose

  12. The Reflections

The extraordinary purpose of God is that His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is being done in heaven. • The extraordinary purpose of God is based on His original creative purpose. He created us in His own image [divine identity]. He created us in His likeness [divine oneness]. He created us and blessed us [divine prosperity]. He created us and commanded us to have dominion and to rule [divine dominion] • The extraordinary purpose of God was interrupted by satan when he deceived Adam and we all fell into sin and were cut off from the flow of divine purpose. The Lord Jesus came primarily for this purpose, to restore us back to what God originally intended for us—Kingdom citizens and rulers on earth

  14. The extraordinary purpose of God has now been activated IN CHRIST. Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are now IN CHRIST. They are seated with Christ in the heavenly places. They have the nature of Christ. They are redeemed by the blood. They are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. They live lives that bring honor and glory to God. They proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom wherever they go • The extraordinary purpose of God is that now we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We are here to influence the world in a positive way. We are ambassadors of Christ. We have a message of reconciliation. We are co-workers with God in the great harvest of souls. We are focused on the Kingdom of God and putting into effect the principles of the Kingdom. We are submissive to the Lord, we resist the devil and he flees from us • The extraordinary purpose of God is that we are casting our nets of faith and catching men for the Kingdom. We are equipped to do battle. We have the whole armor of God on us. We reign in this life and lift the name of Jesus Christ wherever we go. We arise and shine for His light has come upon us and His glory shines through us.

  15. The Prayer

  16. Heavenly Father, we lift up your name and give all the glory back to you. You have indeed called us into your purpose and plan. We are not an accident. We were thought out before we were born. In Christ we were chosen and destined to be blameless and to live a life that brings honor to the Kingdom of God. In this season show yourself mighty on our behalf.

  17. May we walk according to our divine identity. May we know that we have a divine oneness with you so that we walk in the fear of the Lord. We are enjoying divine prosperity in Christ Jesus. We have divine dominion as we reign as Kingdom citizens. All honor and glory goes to you now and forever.
