APRIL 2013 THE DIMENSION OF EXTRAORDINARY PARTNERSHIP Pastor Ambrose Nyangao
David had an army of mighty men that he had recruited when they were in their low moments. One day while David and his men were in hiding, David became very thirsty. He made his need known and three of his men went out and entered into the enemy lines and brought David a drink of water. David was so impressed at the risk that they took and decided not to drink the water but to pour it out as a sacrifice. This was an example of extraordinary partnership on the part of the men of David [I Chro 11:15-19].
We also observe that Jesus Christ took the risk of eternity to come into this world and give His life as ransom for many. This was so that He would offer the water of life to a lost and a thirsty world. We do not need to pour this water down but to drink it [John 7:37-39]. The Lord wants us to enter into an extraordinary partnership becoming heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ [Rom 8:17]. He has called us to engage into the great harvest of souls—bringing them to the knowledge of their inheritance in Christ. We were not created to be alone. If anyone is in Christ, he/she is a new creation.
We are invited into this Kingdom partnership. Are you willing? This is a partnership of an eternal covenant signed by the blood of Christ [Heb 9:14-15]. God does not just want to work for us but through us for kingdom impact. He is calling us to launch into the deep and cast our nets for a catch. He is in the business of catching men for eternity. Will you be part of it?
Heb 2:14: Jesus Himself shared [partnered] in the same [flesh and blood] that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil. • I Cor 1:9: God has called us into fellowship [partnership] of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord • II Cor 6:1: We then, as workers together [partners] with Him also plead with you not to take the grace of God in vain. • Rom 8:17: We are children, we are heirs—heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ
Mat 9:37-38: Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers [partners] into His harvest. • Gal 6:6: Let him who is taught the word share [partner] in all good things with him who teaches. • Lk 5:7: So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so they began to sink. • Lk 5:9-10: Simon and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid, from now on you will catch men.”
We decree and declare that in Christ we who believe have been called into an extraordinary partnership with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ • We decree and declare that a great harvest is before us. Jesus has come that we may have life and have it more abundantly. All things have become ours in Christ. There is no lack in our midst for the Lord supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory • We decree and declare that this extraordinary partnership has engaged us into making disciples of all nations. We are commissioned to catch men. We give of our time, talents and treasures to see this happen. Our labor in the Lord is not in vain
We decree and declare that we shall partner with those of like faith and vision. The vision of bringing in the harvest will not be lost. We declare that the Kingdom of God has come and that His will is being done on earth as is in heaven • We decree and declare that we partner with the Holy Spirit who is our encourager, comforter, helper, teacher, and standby. We do nothing by power, nor by might, but by the Spirit of God in us • We decree and declare that we have all it takes to accomplish the purpose of God on earth. We have been given His power, His great and precious promises, and we are partakers of His divine nature. God is for us and there is nothing the devil can do about it. In Christ we are more than conquerors
Take this month seriously. Believe that God has put in place this extraordinary partnership that is taking you to the next level. Your boat is destined to be so full that it will begin to sink into the waters of God’s favor • Be devoted to God. Read His word. Call on His name. Obey His instructions. Do His will. Reach out to others on His behalf. This is your part in this extraordinary partnership
Do not be a solo Christian. Join up with others who love God. Be in church that exalts the Lord Jesus. Depart from those who seek their own selfish ends in life. Be involved in the Great Commission. Give your best to the Kingdom of God • Expect God to intervene in your life in an extraordinary way. He is your partner. Put into effect the principles of the Kingdom and see them work for you and through you • Don’t be self-seeking. Godly partnerships are for bringing honor and glory to the Living God. Serve others and you will become great in this world
Heavenly Father, thank you for this dimension of extraordinary partnership that is ours in Christ. We are joined together with Christ. We died together with Christ. We were raised together, and now we are seated together in the heavenly places.
We are God’s masterpiece. We are a new creation. We are fellow-workers of God in this harvest field of souls. We shall catch men and women and bring them to the saving knowledge of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. The time is here and now.
