  3. CADENA VOLCANICA CENTRAL • CVC: Potencial 15 PRM con un total de 1,200 ha • Declarados 7 PRM totalizando 600 ha • 4 Planes de manejo • 2 planes de uso publico • Video de Sotz’il sobre el Corredor kaqchiquel presentado en GUATEVISION • Grupo Promotor de la CVC • Mesa de Concertacion forestal

Atitlan • Reforestacion de 600 ha • 300 ha por otros • 200 ha zonas de riesgo • 50 regeneracion natural • 50 recuperacion de parcelas de café bajo sombra • Reservas naturales privadas • 3 Reservas nuevas totalizando 1,200 (15 existentes totalizando 6,000 ha) para un total de 7,200 ha, todas con su plan de manejo • Fortalecimiento del Nodo de la cadena volcanica

  5. ORIENTE • ASORECH esta gestionando RNP, PRM, RC. Se convencio a una municipalidad, una RNP y una RC, para las cuales se iniciaron los estudios tecnicos y elaboración de la ficha tecnica. Las tres areas totalizan 590 has. • Se elaboro un plan de MIF para Zacapa y Chiquimula

  6. INSTITUCIONAL • Alineacion de la institucion para el trabajo en la ecorregion iniciando con la asignación de tiempo del personal. • Apoyo alianzas nacional y regional

FONDOS • American Electric Power (med 2009) • Legacy (Med 2010) • Fondos propios de TNC • SIGUIENTES PASOS • Completar 6,000 RNP y 2,000 PRM para med 2009 • Continuar el proceso de Medidas de Efectividad de Manejo de la Estrategia de Manejo Forestal Sostenible • Asegurar el proyecto de USFS • Evaluar el efecto de PINFOR en cada region a la luz de la inversion
