The Central Ohio ITS Committee ensures compliance with the regional ITS architecture and coordinates ITS activities to develop strategies for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan. It also facilitates the integration and extension of elements identified in the architecture, in line with the Smart Streets Policy.

Regional ITS Architecture • Regional ITS Architecture is “a regional framework that ensures that there are institutional agreements as well as technical integration for the implementation of ITS projects in a region.” • A formal approval of the ITS Architecture is completed through the inclusion of it in the region’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) that is updated and adopted every four years by MORPC’s Transportation Policy Committee.
