VOLUNTEERING – WHY? • No volunteering– no races – no club • To betterunderstandourchildren’s sport • To show ourchildren the importance of volunteering • To get to know otherparents – information sharing • To help elevateourclub’snotoriety • To beinvolved in races at a higherlevel Becauseitismandatory to volunteer, its good to findreasons to volunteerwith a smile

VOLUNTEERING • 7 days per year are mandatory(The number of daysisdeterminedeachyearin the fall) • Including 2 daysduring the week (minimum) • Racing jobs • Chief positions(level 2 withexperience)2 or 3 days of credit per volunteeringday • Regular positions • Non Race Positions • Various positions withdifferentvolunteercredits • With 1 mandatory on course race day position • Descriptions of all positions are on the Club website • There is one personeachyearresponsible for tracking the volunteeringmembership@clubdeskimonttremblant.com

Race Positions • Chief positions (level 2 withexperience) • Race Director (level 2 ++) • Head of course (excellent skier) • Head gatekeeper • Start judge • Finish judge • Race secretary • Head of timing (witha lot of experience) • Regular positions • Assistant head of course (experiencerequired) • Course maintenance (very good skiers) • Gatekeepers • Start volunteers (Starter, caller, manuel chrono, etc…) • Finish volunteers (annoncer, resultsboard, manuel chrono, etc…) • Assistant to the race secretary • Assistant to the head of timing (withexperienceor interest to betrained) • Equipement

NON race positions • Non Race Positions (examples) • Head of volunteering • Head of Race Management • Head of Parent Training • Head of Auction and auctionpositions or otherfundraising • Head of Human Resources • Head of Gala/BBQ and gala/BBQ positions • Cleaning of the Ckubhouse • Responsible for ski-max tickets and SQA tickets • Orthopedist • Registration • Communications • Data base • Etc… (consult the internet and TTSU)

Volunteering registration- 1 • Beginning of June for some off-hill positions requiringearliercommitment • Auction, training manager registration, Ski-max, etc.. • 2 types of positions • According to qualifications and experience (a choice will be made) • First registered, first chosen • An email will be sent to announce the positions and rules • Octoberfor the other positions • Chief positions, assistants chiefs and chrono are chosen • Volunteer positions– first registered = first chosen • An email will be sent to confirm the date and time of the opening of the registration following the confirmation of the race calendar. As soon as the email is sent, the posts will be visible in TTSU • Changes or additions of posts can occur at any time. • It is important to communicate your interest in the positions of chefs, assistant chefs and chrono right now formation@clubdeskimonttremblant.com

Steps for Registration • Consultthe Race Course Calendar at Tremblant and othernon-race positions for the dates: • Super Series: weekbefore Christmas vacation • SG U16 : towards the end of January • CanAm: towards the end of March – beginning of April • And one or two other races depending on the year. • Check yourpersonalcalendar as well as yourchilds race calendar to make sure there are no conflicts. • Findyour « FamilyNumber ». It isnecessaryto use this to sign up on Time To SignUp. It isavailable on the Club website in the volunteering section. • Click on thislinkhttps://www.timetosignup.com/trskiclub/

TIME To SIGN UP • Click on the position thatinterestsyou. • Tick off register and hit (Enter) • Fill out: • First name • Last name • FamilynumberThis is not yourtelephonenumber! • Email • Cell phone • Official level 0, 1 or 2 • Re-dothisprocessuntilyou have chosen 7 days of volunteering in TOTAL with 2 weekdays. Dont forget to savethis information for yourreference. • You willreceive an email confirmation for each position yousigned up for. • KEEP ALL THE EMAIL CONFIRMATIONS YOU RECEIVE. It will help youwhenyou have to refer back to details and information. • To viewyourassignments: Click on « What I signed up for » on the first page of TTSU on the bottomleft. Parent training • Level 1 Official training (4 hours) • Mandatory for all • Offered a few times during the fall and winter • Next session isSeptembler14 or 15 (please put it in yourcalendar) • Level 2 Official training (required for any Chief positions) • Prerequisite: • Level 1 Official • One year of experienceas a Level 1 Official on a race • Experience on a variety of positions • Other training • On hill training (how to install and take down b-nets) • Timing and Race Course Secretary: as needed • Specialized training (shadow) for the chief positions • Interestingvideos on the Club website(course maintenace, B-net, etc…) • If you are interested in training for level2 or have anyother training questions, please contact formation@clubdeskimonttremblant.com

  12. External Races • Calendarof races isavailable on the DLS website – media section • Division U12 (group 1 or group 2) and U14, U16 and FIS by sex • U12 = 5 races in the Laurentians. The number of daysincreases by agecategory U14, U16 and FIS • Race course notice and startlistisavailable on the DLS website • Arrival at the hill on race dayis at approximatly 7h30 • Parents can ski (tickets are available at a reducedprice) • Parent help isappreciated to bring the coats down from the start of the race (U14 et +) and at times as course maintenance crew (speak to the organizers) • Racers and parents are asked to help take down the course and the b-nets at the end of the race • Everyoneshouldstay for the medalceremony • For eachlevel, thereis a selection for Provincialsyear-end races – 20 to 30 are chosenfrom the Laurentians (rankingisavailableaftereach race on the DLS website (Médiathèque)

Equipement - U12 • Club ski suit • skin suit is not permitted in U12 races • Montagnard ski pass • Slalom skis • GS skis • Slalom poleswithprotector • GS poleswithoutprotector • Helmet - FIS 2013 • Shin guards • Chin guard for slalom • Mouthguard(not mandatory) • Back protector(not mandatory) • Ski tuning and sharpeningequipmentrecommended • Rock skis or twin-tips Purchasenow at Magasin de la place • For U14-U16 add: • Skin suit • Super G skis to participate in the SG race(SG camp ismandatory to participate in the race) Consult the DLS website (Médiathèque) for the rules on equipment

  14. Governance • The Club isa non profit organization • Members: the two parents thatpay the requiredfees • Board: • Minimum of 7 and maximum of 14 votingadministrators • 2 year mandate • Nomination or election • A minimum of 7 positions open up eachyear • Information on the application processwillbe sent around August • Nominations shouldbereceived 20 daysbefore the AGM • If anyonehereisinterested, please come see us at the end • Next AGM: 15 September2019 at P’tit Bonheur • There willbe a section on the Club website for membersonlywith information relative to governance (protectedpasswordwillbe sent in the summer)

Otherinformation • There is a maximum of 180 athletes in the Club based on an agreement with the Mountain • Lunch is 1 hour and the trainers, the athletes and the parents normallyeat in the basement of the Grand Manitou. • There are twoother ski clubs at Tremblant that are managed by the Ski School: • Club Élite (7 to 9 yearsold) that ski DLS races • Club Performance (5 to15 yearsold) thatraces only at Tremblant
