Activities & Events at Staffordshire University (SU) 01/09/2009 – 31/08/2010 • In October 2009, the MFC team at SU launched the eLink project and the local coordinators from Bradford University, Chiangmai University, Bhutan, Bangladesh attended the meeting and made the presentations. • The management and associated of Chapman-Nix (http://chapman-nix.org/news/) funded an event on 28 January 2010 for the eLINK project of which Staffordshire University is a partner. 13 presentations from eLink students and visitors were made. • On 12 March 2010, three eLink project researchers delivered the seminars at SU • On 17 March 2010, each of 21 eLink researchers made a poster presentation in the innovate fest event run at SU and over 100 industry people attended the event. • On 22 March 2010, Dr KomsakMeksamoot (an Erasmus visiting fellow) gave a seminar on Research Experiences in Mobile Technologies in Academia and Industries • On 13-14 May 2010, the MFC team is organising a HAM workshop in Loughborough University. There are three keynote talks and the EPSRC reprehensive will talk on the EPSRC supports in robotics. 10 eLink project students attended this workshop and 8 papers from them were presented. • The eLINK mini Workshop was organised at SU on 2010-06-22. 20 presentations, including 10 Mres students presentations, 9 PhD students presentations and 2 RA presentations, were conducted. • The eLINK mini Workshop was organised at SU on 2010-08-03. 17 presentations, including 9 Mres students presentations, 6 PhD students presentations and 2 RA presentations, were conducted.
