2007Metropolitan Caregiver Service Collaborative (MCSC) • Vision: Community will recognize, value and sustain the work of family caregivers. • Purpose: • Share knowledge • Promote caregiver services • Strengthen public policy
2012 United Way Funding Increase the capacity of the collaborative to include caregiver providers across the lifespan Activities: • Assess the capacity for caregiver support services in the nine-county metro area; • Expansion of MCSC website; • Integration of content into United Way’s United Front; • Provide educational opportunities

Expand the Network Expand to be more lifespan focused: • Strengthen ties with disability service providers • Communicate and connect with faith communities • Communication between public and private caregiver services • People will want to join MCSC because of what can be accomplished jointly
Facilitation • New member orientation • Facilitate meetings & collaborative learning discussions • Develop MCSC networking • Coordinate training opportunities for caregiver support service professionals
Outreach • Deliver MCSC presentation • Provide marketing materials/resources at community events • Promote caregiver identification using the Wilder Foundation Capacity to Care campaign • Develop MCSC marketing materials • Organize caregiver community events
