LEADS • A vivid description: The sharks were circling the diver, getting closer and closer. Dozens of them, it seemed. And they looked hungry enough to attack. • A strong or surprising statement: Would you jump into the ocean with ten sharks circling your boat? • A powerful anecdote: When Dr. Roy was a young boy, he dreamed of seeing a real shark. Little did he know that after earning his PhD in marine biology he would become one of the world’s leading experts on shark behaviour, and one of the world’s most well-known defenders of sharks. • A quotation: ‘Before you make laws that legalize shark hunting, you should first learn to understand them,’ insisted Dr. Roy
BODY • Here is where you load in the main information to develop your CONTROLLING IDEA and illuminate the topic.
