Youth Survey Tips Training Agenda Before the Survey: -- Assess your caseload to create a list of youth who meet the eligibility requirements. -- Identify and train staff responsible for administering the interviews especially regarding interviewing technique and confidentiality. (One or multiple people can fulfill this role) -- Prepare caregivers and parents in advance so that they can expect to receive the call. -- Schedule enough time to reach youth and complete the entire survey prior to the September 29 deadline. -- Plan to make multiple calls to reach the youth by phone.
Youth Survey Tips Training Agenda During the Survey: -- Make every effort to conduct the interview by phone, using in person interviews only as a last resort. -- There is a script included with the survey instrument that should be read aloud and verbatim. -- Secure parent or guardian consent for the youth to complete the survey. You must not proceed without this permission! -- Data can be entered directly into OLDC while conducting the interview or interview data can be captured in paper format and entered into OLDC later. -- Be patient and positive. How Are Data Used?
