1. A topic sentence that contians the name of the article/visual presentation (also, the author’s name, if available) and the main point.
2. Supporting sentences that express, in your own words, the main ideas. An effective way of dong this is by asking who, what, when, and where questions.
3. A concluding statement that summarizes any conclusions the author made.
