Underwriting and Sales Support New Business Worksite • Meant to replace the Shared folders • Help resolve server issues • Same file setup as shared drive • Folders by region • Provides better file management (users can see when file has been last updated and by whom) • Users can set up alerts to be notified when changes occur • Open all new opportunities in Sharepoint starting February 1. • Existing cases will remain on the Shared drive until complete
Tips on using Sharepoint • Sharepoint is accessible through the Xtranet. View the corresponding instructions. • To download multiple files, work in Windows Explorer • Map network drives by opening Windows Explorer and selecting Tools > Map Network Drive. Paste in the following address for the Presentation Builder: http://midp-wss-002/sites/AGBLibrary/default.aspx • Repeat the instructions above but paste in the following address for the UW & SS site:http://midp-wss-002/sites/AGBLibrary/UWSalesSupport/default.aspx • Highlight, drag, and drop files into the appropriate folder on your hard drive.
Tips on using Sharepoint • When creating/uploading folders or files to the UW & SS site, avoid special characters in the names: • No spaces, use underscore instead • No punctuation • No special characters like % or $ • Examples: • Bad file name: New Opportunity $1 million.doc • Good file name: New_Opportunity_1million.doc
