  1. Mrs. Monacelli`s Class Week of March 31st What we did this week: We learned all about Bugs and Insects! We learned what bugs use to communicate, what they use to fly, what they use to eat and smell too. We sorted bugs that crawled and walked from bugs that flew. We talked about Ants and Ladybugs specifically and touched on many other creepy crawlers! We learned about the letter Z and the number 16 The class took a field trip to The Betty Brinn Children`s Museum-The children got to explore all the different centers they had there-including the Hometown Center, the Forest Area and the Theatre Area. We learned all about Beckett who was our Star of the week –he likes to snow board, ride his bike and can read Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See, all by himself! Reminders/ Important Class Info Items needed for class: Paper Towels, Gallon Water Jugs (not the refrigerator jugs) Movie Night Next Friday the 11th Field Trip form to Eberts Greenhouse Due on April 17th with Payment! ` Books We Read: Amazing Insects The Monkey with a Toolbelt Bugs are Insects Diary of a Fly (in library class) Next Weeks Theme: Life Cycles:Butterflies and Frogs
