Mrs. Monacelli`s Class Week of February 3rd • What we did this week: • We talked all about Penguins • We learned how they carried their babies and that the Daddy does this job • We played a game, in gym, where they carried their penguin babies on their feet. • We made a bunch of penguin crafts, even one with our foot prints! • Learned about the letter K and what sound it makes • We reviewed the numbers 7 and 8 • We went to the Play about The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar • We also saw a play in the gym this week from The School House Players • Reminders/ • Important Class Info • We are collecting Box Tops-we want to win this one so bring in lots please! • Don’t forget your milk or water jug, washed out and all labels removed. • We are in need of paper towels please • Work on your Valentine`s over the weekend and you can bring them in at anytime before Friday. • Please bring in 100 of a snack item for Tuesday (small items work the best, we will be mixing them together to make a fun snack) • Star of the week this coming week: Beckett Books We Read: Penguins The Penguin That Flew Emperor Penguin Next Weeks Theme: Valentine`s/Love
