Creating a Group RefWorks Account Method 1 A project member creates a personal RefWorks account and shares his/her login ID and password with all in the group Method 2 A project member creates a “project account” using a fictitious user name and shares the login ID and password with all in the group
Some VIRGO (and Other Databases) Hints • Use single quotes in VIRGO to search for phrases—use double quotes in most other databases: ‘hurricane katrina’ or “hurricane katrina” • Use the truncation symbol $ and Boolean connectors to improve results (symbol may vary in other databases): hurricane$ AND (wind OR tornado$) NOT flood$ • Try various combinations of terms and synonyms to insure best coverage and specificity
