  1. Aug 26th-30th 3rd Grade News – Mrs. Cooper’s Class Language Arts/Social Studies Wish List Reading: We will continue to work on reading strategies to help with comprehension. Leveled Reading groups will begin soon. Writing: Personal Narrative writing Social Studies: Our Greece unit will continue this week. We will be having our Greece test next Wednesday, Sept. 4th. Even though we haven’t covered all of the Greece unit at this time, the study guide will be coming home so that you can get a head start on studying with your child. I told the students to place the study guide in a safe place. (ex. On the refrigerator) Study Guide will replace the reading log for this week. Bandaids Stickers AA Batteries Paper Towels Wrapped candy (Starburst, Smarties, Air Heads, Nerds,) Small Treasure Box Items Teacher Notes Math & Science Our first Early Release Day for the school year will be this Wednesday at 11:30. Binders/Agenda:This is a learning process, so please ask your child to show you their agenda each nightand sign your initials every night! Also, please return the signed mailbag papers that come home Tuesday and return them the next day. Homework packets will be coming home this week and are due Friday! Math: Addition and subtraction, properties and strategies. Science- Coming Soon! Rocks & Minerals .
