  2. Ivan PomaredaMusic and Computers Ivan Pomareda is a former computer programmer who worked in Silicon Valley for eleven years before moving back to his native state of Kansas. He left Silicon Valley to pursue a newly discovered passion of his: guitar making. He apprenticed with Vernon Slaughter before opening his own shop in Kansas City where he lives today. Pomareda guitars are considered some of the best in the music world.

He graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz with degrees in history and computer science before moving back to Kansas to pursue his dream of crafting fine guitars. He found much success in his pursuit of crafting guitars, leading to his opening a guitar shop in a remote part of Kansas City where he lives today.
