  2. DESCRIPTION • «No Borders Municipalities» is a participatory programme fostered by ANCI • It involves Italian and foreign municipalities in International Cooperation projects

  3. TARGET AND PARTNERS • Local Authorities and Associations of Municipalities are the main beneficiaries and partners • Symmetrical relation between the linked systems • Allignment with the Law 125/2014 on the International Cooperation

  4. THE TERRITORIAL PARTNERSHIP APPROACH • Based on a wide system of relations and shared actions • It guarantees coherent and incisive actions • It is the new horizon of the international cooperation

MAIN ACTIVITIES • Administrative and legalsupport to Italian municipalities regarding International Cooperation • Supporting foreign municipalities in analyzing and programming urban development plan with training courses on specific sectors such as: • Disaster risk reduction and reconstruction • Educative system • Public services (water, electricity, garbage)

  9. PROJECTS • Euro - African Partnership for the Decentralized Governance • Supporting Kurdish municipalities in Syria and Iraq • Italia – Libia project

  10. FOCUS ON MIGRATION • The solidexperience: ANCI and SPRAR • MIGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT is one of the main issues of th 1° National Conference on the International Cooperation • The importance of supporting local municipalities involved in the migration management

  11. DIASPORA • Main issues outlined during the SUMMIT: • Wider involvement of the Diaspora Associations in International Cooperation projects • Recognition of their role in making different territories more connected
