PLATTEVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY Apply Now The Platteville Housing Authority is currently accepting applications to establish eligibility for the Section 8 Housing Assistance Rental Program. The Platteville Housing Authority’s Rental Program is a federally funded rental subsidy for very low-income residents. The household’s total annual gross income may not exceed the applicable income limits established by HUD. If you feel that you qualify and wish to apply for rental assistance, applications are available at the Housing Authority Office located at 75 North Bonson Street on the second floor of City Hall or on the web at www.platteville.org. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The office is closed on Friday. For further information, contact the Housing Authority Office at (608) 348-9741, Ext. 2233
Platteville Permit Parking Information • Permits were issued to residences in the permit parking area. • Parking is enforced 24/7/365. • Day passes for visitors are available at the Platteville Police Department or Parks & Recreation Department in City Hall. • University permits do NOT work in this area. • Signs that state 2 hour parking between 6am-6pm Mon-Fri. or permit parking mean that you can only park for 2 hours Mon-Fri from 6am-6pm or have a permit. All other times require a permit. • There is a map available on the City website for parking at the University during sporting events. • Additional questions can be directed to Tim at 348-2313 or to Angie at 348-9741 ext 2257.

Platteville Emergency Medical Services is leading Platteville on a mission to place twenty Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) in city facilities in 2013. Project Pulse was created to help save lives, since Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can affect anyone, anywhere, anytime. The American Heart Association states that defibrillation within three minutes of an attack can increase survival chances by 75%. Help us reach our goal of $32,000! Your donation to Project Pulse, no matter the size, makes a difference. Donations may be sent to Project Pulse, PO Box 780, Platteville, WI 53818. More information on Project Pulse is available on the city’s website at www.platteville.org. All donations are tax deductible under IRS Code 170(c)(1). Flashing Red Lights Available The Platteville Police Department has flashing red lights for bicyclists or even those that walk. It is a light with a clip that they can wear to be more visible. They are free! Available at the police department Mon-Thurs, 7:15 am – 5:00 pm. They have 3 settings with the push of a single button.
