Why the 3-4 Defense? • Play your best players, put athletes on the field • Simple scheme but multiple looks • Create confusion through movement / disguise (slant, stem, roll coverage) • Pressure the Offense • Unfamiliarity with the scheme can lead to Offensive confusion
