  2. Summer Mission Focus • At June’s Mission Focus we looked at the importance of Christian mission and going out to all different walks of life and telling people about Jesus. • There are various different missions taking place in the UK this summer, which will reach various different people

Psalm 66 • 66 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!2 Sing out the honour of His name;Make His praise glorious.3 Say to God,“How awesome are Your works!Through the greatness of Your powerYour enemies shall submit themselves to You.4 All the earth shall worship YouAnd sing praises to You;They shall sing praises to Your name.”

  15. Prayer Points • Pray for those who organise them to be blessed • Pray for the speakers • Pray for those who attend to leave challenged • Pray for Gospel opportunities

  16. GLO Teams • Many of us have been on one of more! • GLO based in Motherwell, Scotland • Covers; Scotland, UK and the Rest of the World • Teams include; children's work, open airs, special evenings, music outreach, teaching English, leaflets distribution etc.

  20. Prayer Points • Pray for the final weeks of preparation • Pray for the team themselves that they can be blessed and encouragement • Pray for the chance to tell the gospel • Pray for the future work in the weeks/months after

  23. Royal Troon Outreach • Organised by Gospel for Scotland • 11th to 17th July • Big Golf Event! • Advertised in Trains and local radio • Plan to hand leaflets and speak to people • Small team with volunteers

  25. United Beach Missions • Open air based in costal towns during summer holidays • Usually children clubs in afternoon on beach, evening service and other outreach activities • Teams throughout end of July to August • Often more than two weeks • (SU has Scotland Teams)

  31. Rio 16 Mission • Various different mission teams heading to Rio in August • Often spend July in Bible training • Can be costly joining a team • ‘Rio 16 Outreach’ • Designing literature to be in over 10 languages 

  32. Pray for… • Mass distribution of gospel literature. • One on one gospel witnessing. • Engaging in conversations to lead to sharing Christ with the nations. • Chance to speak to people whose county would make it difficult to speak about Jesus

The Ark Encounter • Opens 7th July 2016 in Kentucky USA • Please pray for various people to be drawn to come to see the ‘Ark’ • Please pray that the media attention can highlight the truth of God’s Word • Please pray for the exhibitions that teach the comparison between the Ark and Jesus • Please pray for its long term future

  37. Important Thought • When you add every Christian camp taking place in the UK this summer • Perhaps 1000s of children will be hearing the gospel this summer in 2016

  38. Important to Pray • Pray for all the summer Christian camps taking place • Pray for the hundreds / thousands of children that will hear the gospel through them • Pray for the people who run these centres and their business

  47. Summary • Many different outreaches in the UK • The harvest is there but the workers are important also • A good reason to pray for good weather! • Please look out for Bethany Summer Prayer Diary so we can pray for all these different activities happening throughout the summer
