TEMPERATEFOREST • Dominant plants: broadleaf deciduous trees; some conifers; flowering shrubs; herbs; poison berries; and a ground layer of mosses and ferns • Dominant wildlife: Deer; black bears, bobcats; nut and accords feeders, such as squirrels; omnivores such as raccoons skunks; numerous songbirds; turkeys. • One interesting fact: Animals that live in the temperate deciduous forest must be able to adapt to the changing seasons. Some animals in this biome migrate or hibernate in the winter.
