Traditionally, feijoada contains all parts of the pig, including parts such as tale, nose, and ears. Since some people, and especially tourists, don't find this very appealing, the recipe is often adjusted and those parts are not added.

  5. The amazon river The Amazon is a rainforest with the second longest river running through it. It runs through three countries, Brazil, Peru and Columbia. The source of the river comes from the Andes Mountains. It has the biggest discharge of water in the world averaging a discharge of about 209,000 cubic metres per second. That’s greater than the next seven largest independent rivers combined. It’s the second largest river in the world. The Amazon is over 4000 miles long.

  6. The Amazon Rainforest 60 % of the Amazon is in Brazil. There are over 500 mammals species, 175 lizard species, more than 300 other reptile species and 40,000 plants. 30 million insect species live in the amazon. There are more than 390 billion individual trees divided into 16,000 species. Human inhabitants first settled in the Amazon region at least 11,200 years ago. The Amazon rainforest is located in South America and covers 2.1 million square miles of land. Brazil has 60%, Peru has 13%, and Columbia has 10% while other countries have very small parts of the rainforest within their borders. Altogether there are nine nations that enjoy all that the Amazon rainforest has to offer. The Amazon rainforest has existed for at least 55 million years. The Amazon rainforest is home to a very diverse range of species, many of which are not found elsewhere in the world.

The roots of the carnival can be traced back to the Romans and Greeks who celebrated the arrival of spring with parties. Today the carnival takes place in the city streets, bars and clubs. The carnival highlight is a Samba parade, a fierce competition between Rio’s Samba schools, of which there are nearly 200.

It is played with a volleyball net, but players can use only their feet to get the ball to their opponents on the other side. It is a perfect beach game and visitors are sure to spot it as they frequent the many gorgeous beaches of Brazil. Roller Hockey Roller Hockey played on Quad skates and Roller Hockey played on Inline skates have different rules and equipment, and they involve different types of skating but share the name Roller Hockey. Roller hockey (Quad) is played using traditional quad roller skates, affording greater manoeuvrability to the player - this results in games filled with fancy footwork, tight manoeuvring, and is more similar to football or basketball.
