Facebook • Can be set up for course before students start • Useful for homework • Students use for marketing events • Can use to display examples of their work
Podcasting • Short 5 minute Podcasts can be used to encourage further research to answer topical questions e.g. Legal Secretarial Unit could use this method to research work on the Scottish Law Society
Skype/Netviewer • Skype can be used in Office Technologies to illustrate video conferencing for one-to-one discussions • Netviewer can be used to illustrate video conferencing for many individuals in different locations • Either can be used for interviews with International students
YouTube • Can assist with new versions of software e.g. Microsoft Office 2007™ - Microsoft Office 2010™ • Tutorials to introduce subjects e.g. project management Project Management Clip
Finally. . . • An unnamed University has issued their MBA students with an Ipad with all the course materials on it using most of the tools just discussed in this presentation!!
