Step 1: Make the Cross Step 2: Solve the 1st side/layer Description: First thing is first ,the way you know which side has which color is by looking at the middle piece. First, you pick the side you want to solve first. That side is on top. Case 1: If one of the edge pieces you need is on the bottom layer, you twist it so the color that is not part of the side you are solving is corresponding with the middle piece that is now facing you. Then, facing that side, you apply the Algorithm 2F. If it’s flipped the wrong way see Case 4. Case 2: If one of the edge pieces you need is on the middle layer, you twist it down, and then repeat exactly what you would do if it was in the bottom layer. You may need to move that piece and then reverse that move. If it’s flipped the wrong way see Case 4. Case 3:If one of them is in the top layer you do the same thing you would do if it was in the middle layer. You may need to move that piece and then reverse that move. If it’s flipped the wrong way see Case 4. Case 4: (Flipping the edges (If necessary)): If a piece is in the correct place but flipped the wrong way you simply apply the algorithm with the edge you need to flip on the front side in the top space. Algorithm: Fi, U, Li, Ui, Algorithm: Ri, Di, R, D, Description: This is a very simple step, all you do is, with the side you are solving on top, move the corner on the bottom layer under where it needs to go holding the cube so it is in the right, bottom (see picture). Do the algorithm 1 or more times until the piece is in the correct place (see picture) ANDturned the correct way. Do that to all 4 corners. And if you did everything correctly, you should have the 1st layer solved. To Here From Here
Step 3: Solve 2nd layer Step 4: Solve the Cross on Top Algorithm: Ui, Li, U, L, U, F, Ui, Fi (left flip), or U, R, Ui, Ri, Ui, Fi, U, F (right flip) Description: After you have finished the 1st layer it is essential that you flip the cube upside-down. In this step, you put another 4 edge pieces into the right position completing the middle layer. The way you do this is you pick an edge that is on the top layer and needs to go on the middle layer. Then, you place it so that the front part of the edge lines up with it’s color. Then, if you need to flip it to the left, you do the algorithm that is mentioned first, and if you need to flip it to the right you do the other algorithm. Algorithm: F, R, U, Ri, Ui, Fi, Description: Now after you have the second layer solved, on the top, unsolved face, you are going to have 1 out of 4 different cases. Case 1: If you have just the middle piece on top then simply perform the algorithm. This will get you to case 2 Case 2: If you have a L on top then perform the algorithm with the L in the top and left edge places looking on the top side (see picture). This will get you to case 3. Case 3:If you have a straight line hold it horizontally, not vertically. This will complete the cross. Case 4: If you have the cross, obviously you skip the step. Know that after this step you will not have the edges lined up with their colors. From Here Hold L like this Or Here (Left Flip) To Here (Right Flip)
Step 5: Position Top Cross Step 6: Position the Corners on Top Algorithm: R, U, Ri, U, R, 2U, Ri, Description: If you look closely, you will notice that the top cross is not necessarily in the correct position, but no matter what you will be able to place 2 edges in the correct place. If the 2 edges are next to each other then apply the algorithm with the correct edges on the back and the right (see picture)If they are across from each other then apply it holding the correct edges vertically. You may or may not have to turn them into the correct position after applying the algorithm. Hold like this Algorithm: U, R, Ui, Li, U, Ri, Ui, L, Description: Now you will have to position the corners so that they are positioned correctly. That does not mean they are turned the correct way. When you do this there will not necessarily be a corner in the correct place. Case 1: If there is hold that corner in the top, right part of the front face (see picture). Case 2: If there isn’t a corner in the correct place just don’t worry about the way you hold the cube simply do the algorithm and then there will be a corner in the correct place and you automatically move to case 1. Front (not visible) Hold correct corner here Back Right
Step 7: Solve the Cube How to Read the Algorithms Algorithm: Ri, Di, R, D, Description: Now all you have to do is orient the corners and the cube is solved. The way you do this is you put one not oriented corner in the top right of the front face and then do the algorithm until the corner flipped the correct way. Know that the rest of the cube will then not necessarily be solved. Then you twist ONLY the “Up” layer until the next not oriented corner is in that spot (you can twist it in either direction). Repeat this until all the corners are in the correct orientation. I know this step seems like you are messing everything up but at the end everything magically comes back together. If it doesn’t then you messed up. Reading the algorithms is fairly simple just follow the key below- U= Twist the top side 90 degrees clockwise. F= Twist the front side 90 degrees clockwise. R= Twist the right side 90 degrees clockwise. L= Twist the left side 90 degrees clockwise. D= Twist the down side 90 degrees clockwise. i= twist counterclockwise instead of clockwise. 2U= Twist the top layer 180 degrees. 2F= Twist the front side 180 degrees. Up (U) Twist Hold Left (L) Right (R) Hold Front (F) Down (D)
