What is meaningful & learning? Meaningful: To have purpose. Learning: “the activity or process of gaining knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught, or experiencing something” (http://merriam.webster.com)
Meaningful learning with technology Reference: Meaningful Learning with Technology by Jane L. Howland, David Jonassen, and Rose M. Marra. Chapter One. Five Characteristics of Meaningful Learning (1) Active (2) Constructive (3) Intentional(4) Authentic(5) Cooperative Howland, et. al (2012) describe these characteristics as “interrelated, interactive, and interdependent” (p. 5). Howland et. al also refers to learning with technology and not learning “from” technology. (p 5)
