  2. Brief Overview • One Year Process • 300 Point Scale Divided Evenly Between Three Committees (Academics, Business, and Governance) • Additional Review by TeamCFA Properties Committee • Guidelines for Point System Adopted and Approved by TeamCFA Board

Initial Steps Identification TeamCFA representative from one of the three specified regions, Western, Mid-west and Southern, will seek out and vet potential schools to join the TeamCFA Network. • In addition, new start up areas will be under consideration for recommendation Criteria for consideration: • Located in a target state • Committed to continuous improvement in academics • Strong evidence of need due to overcrowded schools, low performing local schools, and/or lack of a rigorous curriculum

Initial Steps • If the school meets the criteria a site visit will be arranged to attend the school. • Meet with the board; • Meet with the administration; • Tour the school; • Meet with community members; and • Explain the process for joining TeamCFA. • Following the visit, the TeamCFA Representative will gather and distribute all necessary information for each of the four TeamCFA committees to evaluate the school.

  5. Committee REVIEW Committee Review • The designated TeamCFA committees will review the schools documents and write a report based on 100 point evaluation matrix developed for the areas of academics, business, and governance. • If they didn’t receive enough points, the committee shall develop an action plan to be implemented by the school. • The committees’ findings will be included in a final report that will be compiled by the persons performing the vetting and presented to the TeamCFA Board. • A score of 80 points or better is needed to be automatically considered for inclusion into the network.

  6. Don’t Make the Grade…? • If a school does not score 80 or more points with one committee, an action plan will be developed to assist the school address the areas of concern. • The TeamCFA Board Reps will be responsible for ensuring that the school is working towards implementation of the plan and has achieved the stated goals.  • The expectations outlined in the proposed action plan will mirror the high expectations that TeamCFA expects of all of the schools in our network.

  7. Final Steps/Welcome Board Action • The TeamCFA board will be presented with the final recommendations for approval of schools at the Spring TeamCFA board meeting. • The board will use the presentation, as well as the reports by each committee to determine whether or not to approve and invite the school to become part of the TeamCFA network of schools. • An invitation to join the TeamCFA network of schools will be sent to the school(s) along with the Affiliate Contract for board approval, which must be accepted and board approved, and signed by all board members, before joining the network.
