The OutsidersS.E Hinton1967Fiction Amanda Y Period 4
Setting • In a small city where Pony boy has a lot of trouble in his neighborhood with gangs and the socs.
Conflict • Pony boy has a lot of trouble with other people trying to jump him • Man v Man
Summary of Plot • Pony boy was being messed around with by other people and Danny and Soda pop don’t like it. So they stick up for him and did something about it.
Theme • Never judge someone if you don’t really know who they are. • Text Evidence 1: “The little gal must not like me.” • Text Evidence 2: “Need a hair cut Greaser.” • Text Evidence 3:”Don’t ever say anything to him about Johnny.”
Point of View • If it would be in a different point of view you would know how the characters felt. • First person point of view.
Symbolism • I chose this symbol because it represents that Danny and Soda pop cares about him.
Recommendation • This book was worth reading because it was very interesting in each chapter. I recommend people to read this book because it made you want to read more in every chapter and it is a very good book.
