  2. Brazil’s Land Brazil is the largest country in South America Around 60% of the Amazon Rainforest is located in Brazil Brazil shares a border with all South American countries except for Chile and Ecuador The capital city is Brasilia Its largest city Sao Paulo

  3. Brazil’s Economy • Brazil has one of the largest economies in the world • Because of Brazil’s natural resources, Brazil has become the most powerful country in South America in economic terms • It’s also one of the most fast growing economies

  4. Brazil has 81 senators • Their president is the head of both state and government • Each state has its own elected legislature and governor • Senators serve 8-year terms Government of Brazil

  5. History of Brazil • Brazil has held the World Cup once before in 1950 • 2014 will be the second time the World Cup will be held there • Many of the modern-day people of Brazil have African genes • Slavery was a major trend in Brazil

  6. The Climate of Brazil • The climate in the majority of Brazil is tropical. • The Brazilian winter lasts from June to August. • It’s summer is from December to February • Brazil's rainy season is during its summer months.

  14. Main/Star Team Players Pena Carlos •Carlos Pena - Carlos is 24 years old - Carlos Pena is known as "Gullit" due to having a similar appearance with Netherlands ex-international footballer, Ruud Gullit. - He plays as a midfielder

  15. Team Mexico’s Coach •Miguel Herrera - He was a former Mexican footballer - Now he’s the manager of the Mexico national football (soccer) team - He has been the manager since 2013
