A high qualified centre corresponds to each technological sectors, in particular mechatronic, motoring and mechanical fields. • ADSL broadband access and Wi-Fi technology that covers today great part of the territory. A free wireless technology system is provided in the city of Reggio Emilia. Disabled and disadvantaged people:The specific interventions of Reggio Emilia’s Province • In Italy the legislation also supports the inclusion of people with disabilities overt and certified. • To facilitate the active inclusion of the disabled and disadvantaged people, employment center operators follow them through specific support paths to ensure a long-lasting insertion in the organization
Law n. 68/99“Disabled people’s right to work " Law 68/99 renewed the "Disabled people’s right to work “, promoting the actions and services for focused placement. To reach this aim, Reggio Emilia Province has a specialized Employment Centre and 6 “Local Boards” The “Local Boards", are groups of experts (located at the 6 Provincial Employment Centres) working to promote the employment of disabled and disadvantaged people, including the intermediation between the business needs and those of the workers.

EMPLOYMENT OF DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE ACTIVITIES • use of a network of local services that support companies and persons • deep evaluation of the disadvantaged person (limits and abilities) • contacts and visits to the companies, in order to know their organization, to check the available and suitable workplaces for disabled people and to plan a customized work program • mediation, in order to simplify the available jobs, often too complex for people with disability
EMPLOYMENT OF DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE ACTIVITIES • counselling, promotion and sensitization activity in companies, addressed both to the employers and to the colleagues in order to favour the disadvantaged persons' placement • tutoring on workplace/practice period • supporting companies even after the placement
EMPLOYMENT OF DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE TOOLS • personalised projects of “work inclusion” • training period and training activities • agreement between company and Province which consists in planning the job placements of disabled people in the space of 24 months • economic facilities financed by national and regional funds
