Rotary Awareness Objectives • To strengthen the image of Rotary in District 5930 areas • To reduce misconceptionsabout Rotary • To gain public awareness of Rotary’s purpose/projects • To entice young professionals to join Rotary • To serve as a support to membershipwith outcomes
Rotary Awareness Committee • 5-member committee: • Rotarians aged 21-35 • Professional qualifications in PR/related field • Members from each hub: • Victoria (Areas 1 & 2): VACANT • Corpus Christi (Areas 3, 4, 5, 6, & 7): FILLED • Brownsville (Area 8 & 9): VACANT • McAllen (Area 10, 11, & 12): VACANT • Laredo (Area 13): VACANT • Do you or someone you know have an interest in joining us?
Rotary Awareness Committee • Procedures: • Establish committee • Create, pilot, & distribute survey • Create district-wide campaign • Work with college/university PR courses in District areas • Judge student campaigns & select winner • Implement student campaign ideas • Evaluate both campaigns
